Biography:
Samuel Scott began as a marine painter working in the style of the van de Veldes. In 1740’s, he began creating topographical views that were influenced by Canaletto. His most respected painting id the An Arch of the Westminster Bridge. Scott moved from London in 1785 for health reasons and relocated to Bath. His artistic output declined in his later life.
