Biography:
Although his identity is unknown, the Master of the Coburg Roundels was recognized for his elegant drapery and his extensive body of work. It is thought that he may have designed several stained glass windows created in Strasbourg around 1460. The Master of the Coburg Roundels has also been credited with thirty panel paintings, ten of which belong to a 1488 Passion cycle in a church in Strasbourg.
