Biography: Italian artist, Marino Marini traveled extensively during his career, coming into contact with many notable artists such as Braque, Giacometti, and Picasso. However, he never became involved in any avant-garde movements. Instead, he remained loyal to his own artistic visions, often focusing on the theme of the horse and rider. In addition, he created sculptures of female nudes and portrait busts. In 1952, he won the sculpture prize at the Venice Biennale and established an international reputation.
