Biography:
American abstract artist, Stanton MacDonald-Wright moved to Paris in 1907. There, he and Morgan Russell developed a style they called Synchromism. The idea was to paint based on an abstract use of color. They first began exhibiting their work in 1913. MacDonald-Wright moved to London from 1914 to 1916 before returning to the United States and settling in California. He began experimenting with various new mediums and also took a strong interest in Asian art.
