Biography:
Born in Hungary, Philip de Laszlo moved to London in 1907 and became a citizen seven years later. He initially trained as an artist in Budapest, Munich, and Paris and developed an international reputation as a portraitist. Some of his most famous clients included Edward VII and other aristocratic figures.
