Biography: Muhammad Khadda began his career in France as a printer, where his work introduced him to the basic fundamentals of form, color, and composition and acted as his formal training. He first exhibited in 1955 at the Jeune Peintre Exhibition and the Salon des Realites Nouvelles. In 1957, Khadda returned to his native country of Algeria and worked as a painter, graphic designer, engraver, and theatre set designer. His work is a conglomeration of many influences including Berber-Arab art, medieval Arab calligraphy, and French color and subjects.
