Biography:
Group E was a pottery and vase-painting workshop that worked in the black-figure technique in Athens. They created new vase shapes, changed the from of the amphora, and made larger vases than their forerunners. They painted mostly mythological themes and chariots. The group is named after its most famous member, Exekias.
