Biography: Burgoyne Diller, American sculptor and painter, was a leading figure of abstract art in the United States. Influenced by Impressionism and Cubism, his style resembled that of Mondrian. From 1935 to 1940, he was the supervisor of the Mural Division of the Federal Art Project. In addition, he was a member of the American Abstract Artists. He kept his geometrical style throughout his career, mostly using rectangular shapes and primary colors in his compositions.
